A home on Nantucket Drive in the Hammock caught fire late Tuesday evening after it was presumably struck by lightning.

Flagler County Fire Rescue units, assisted by the Palm Coast Fire Department, responded to the one-story home at 9:15 p.m. on Sept. 26 to find flames on the front of the home, near the roof, according to a Facebook post from the FCFR. The firefighters were able to quickly extinguish the flames, preventing the damage from spreading to inside the home.

Neither the residents nor any firefighters were injured. The cause of the fire is presumed to be a lightning strike.
