Ormond Beach offers self-serve sandbags at Nova Rec

Need sandbags for hurricane season?

The city of Ormond Beach is offering a self-serve sand piles and fillable sandbags at the Nova Community Center, located at 440 N. Nova Road. The sand pile is open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 1-5:30 p.m. on Sundays.

Ormond Beach residents must show their ID to receive up to 10 free fillable sandbags from the Nova Rec office, according to a notice from the city. Residents will also need to bring a shovel, fill and load the bags into their vehicle.

Residents with special needs can request a delivery of sandbags by filling out a form online at https://www.ormondbeach.org/sandbags. They may also call the city's Public Works Department at 386-676-3220.
