Halifax Health has added Stephanie Wohlford as the director of Government Affairs.
Wohlford joins Halifax Health with extensive experience in legislative work, having most recently served as legislative aide to Florida Rep. Tom Leek, where she played an important role in shaping policy, budget, and community initiatives for the local area and the state.
During her time with the Florida House of Representatives, beginning in 2018, Wohlford assisted Leek with legislative activities both in Tallahassee and locally. She has developed and maintained excellent relationships with lobbyists and worked closely with our local governments, as well as community organizations, on state budget requests, ensuring their successful navigation through the budget process.
Prior to joining Leek’s team, Wohlford was a business owner in the community, where she made many valuable connections in the advertising, restaurant, and retail industries.
