Photographer Shannon Fountain's aerial image of Flagler Beach is featured in the Florida Association of Counties’ 2025 calendar, “Stormy Skies.”
This is the third consecutive year that Flagler County has been featured in the calendar.
Fountain’s image was chosen as the photo for the month of May. Fountain also submitted photos from Hargrove Grade Road to the west, Washington Oaks Gardens State Park to the north and from a point near High Bridge Road to the south.
Dozens of photographers provided photographs to Flagler County for the contest, all of which were submitted. More than 560 photos were submitted to the Florida Association of Counties from 55 of the state's 67 counties.
“Each year we are privileged to have scores of very talented photographers go to great effort to help us showcase Flagler County in pictures for this contest,” Flagler County Administrator Heidi Petito said in a county press release. “Congratulations to Shannon Fountain. Your stunning photograph illustrates the quaintness of Flagler Beach and the mighty force of Mother Nature.”
The calendar can be purchased for $15 on the FAC website, fl-counties.site-ym.com/store/viewproduct.aspx?id=24826062. To view all of the calendar photos, go to fl-counties.com/stormyskies/.
FAC President Terry Burroughs said the calendar's theme, “Stormy Skies,” celebrates Florida's resilience.
“Florida’s weather is as diverse as the communities we serve,” Burroughs said in the press release. “Each photograph highlights not only the natural beauty of Florida but also the talent and perspective of those who capture it.”
