A Palm Coast woman received a new roof on Dec. 9 through the Owens Corning Roof Deployment Project.

Janie Holley, the wife of the late Alton Holley, a veteran who served in the U.S. Air Force, received her new roof on Dec. 9 from AK Certified Contracting LLC, an Owens Corning Platinum Roofing Contractor, according to a press release from the Project. The national program is part of a nationwide effort to support veterans.

The goal of the Owens Corning Roof Deployment Project is to "show gratitude [to] and honor the veterans who served our country and the families who support them," the press release said. Founded in 2016, the Project has helped over 625 military members receive new roofs.

Holley was selected a recipient through a partnership with Purple Heart Homes, the press release said.
