Volusia County Property Appraiser Larry Bartlett is seeking another term in office.
Bartlett, an Ormond Beach resident, was first elected in 2016 and began his term in 2017. He oversees four offices in the county composed of 118 employees, according to a press release. Every year, Bartlett and his staff reassess over 307,000 parcels of real estate in Volusia County.
Bartlett has lived in Volusia County for over 50 years, having moved as a teenager in 1970. He played football for Seabreeze High School and graduated from the University of Florida with both his bachelor's and law degrees.
Prior to being elected, Bartlett practiced real estate and business law in Volusia County for 37 years. In 2018, he was elected president of the Florida Association of Property Appraisers.
