Fans of hits like “Unchained Melody,” “My Cherie Amour,” “You Can’t Hurry Love” and “This Magic Moment” will relish an evening spent with Chris Ruggiero, to perform at the Ormond Beach Performing Arts Center on Saturday, Feb. 24.
Growing up, Ruggiero’s musical influences were Paul Anka, Bobby Rydell, and the Platters.
“I related to how classy their presentation was and how they were reworking songs from the 40s and early 50s,” the 24-year-old singer said.
For the last several years, Chris Ruggiero has been touring the country. He’s performed on PBS and on ABC-TV’s Good Morning America and has collaborated with the likes of Darlene Love, The Cyrkle and Las Vegas “Entertainer of the Year” Peter Noone.
Chris Ruggiero’s brand-new show, “Teenage Dreams & Magic Moments,” will take place at Ormond Beach Performing Arts Center, located at 399 U.S. 1 in Ormond Beach, at 7 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 24. In it, the young entertainer whisks audiences on a musical journey through the golden age of rock and roll. He shares his life’s journey while breathing new life into the timeless music of the '50s, '60s and '70s, accompanied by a six-piece band.
