Starting Monday, July 8, Volusia County will temporarily close two beach access points for repairs.

The Riverview Boulevard beach access and parking area in Daytona Beach will close to facilitate permanent storm damage repairs. This work is expected to take approximately three months. During this period, beachgoers can use the recently opened Sun & Surf Park, which features ADA-accessible facilities. Restrooms are available at Glenview Boulevard beach access, located one block south of Riverview Boulevard.

The Rockefeller Beach Ramp in Ormond Beach will also close temporarily for about two weeks as the vehicular ramp is rebuilt. This ramp is the northern access point of the dog beach. Beachgoers can instead use the River Beach Drive access for pedestrian access and the Cardinal Drive ramp for vehicular access.

Residents and visitors can download the Volusia Beaches app for the latest information on open beach access points, lifeguard tower locations, and beach and weather conditions.
