A kitchen fire broke out in the Palm Harbor Grill restaurant on June 29.

Palm Coast Fire Department units responded to the scene and found the kitchen fire extended into the restaurant's exhaust fan system and up to the building's roof, according to a Facebook post from the PCFD. No injuries were reported and firefighters were able to contain the fire.

The fire caused minimal damage to the restaurant, the post said. PCFD Engines 21, 22 and 24 and Ladder 25, Battalion 24 and the Fire Police all responded to the scene, alongside Flagler County Fire Rescue Battalion 62 and Rescues 21 and 24.

The Palm Harbor Grill, a Portuguese restaurant, is one of several businesses in The Shopps at Palm Harbor plaza. The Observer was not able to confirm if the Grill has temporarily closed or is open at regular hours by the time of this publication.
