Anthony John Romine, who escaped from AdventHealth Palm Coast early Saturday morning, July 27, has been located and is in custody, according to an updated Facebook post from the Flagler County Sheriff's Office.
"During the apprehension a Sheriff's K-9 took a bite out of crime," the post stated. "We thank the community for 'seeing something, saying something.'"
Romine, 29, was being held at AdventHealth on State Road 100 for medical clearance when he escaped around 6:30 a.m.
Romine was originally arrested for petit theft and has a criminal history of forgery charges, according to his arrest record.
The FCSO's original post asked the community to be on the lookout for Romine, described as a white male, 5 feet, 9 inches tall, weighing 160 pounds with blue eyes, brown hair and the tattoo of a crown on the right side of his neck. The post advised the community to use caution and not approach him.
