New chief clinical officer appointed for AdventHealth East Florida Division

Dr. Andrew Weinfeld will serve as the new CCO over the AdventHealth East Florida Division, which includes Palm Coast's hospitals.

The AdventHealth East Florida Division has selected Dr. Andrew Weinfeld to serve as the new Chief Clinical Officer effective July 8.

Weinfeld will be responsible for executing clinical and organizational strategy, improving clinical effectiveness and patient safety, and delivering exceptional patient experiences for the largest hospital system in the region, an AdventHealth Central Florida Division press release said. The division includes seven hospitals in Daytona Beach, DeLand, Orange City, New Smyrna Beach, Palm Coast and Tavares.

The full-time CCO role is a critical position within the East Florida Division, the press release said. Weinfeld has 13 years of experience served as a general surgeon before taking on progressive leadership roles.

Weinfeld's extensive experience and commitment to enhancing patient care make him the perfect fit for the position, said Audrey Gregory, executive vice president and CEO for the AdventHealth East Florida Division.

"We are incredibly excited to have Dr. Weinfeld join our team," Gregory said. "We are confident that his leadership will help us continue to deliver the exceptional, compassionate care that our community depends on."
