The Palm Coast Little League Senior League baseball all-stars won the Section 3 championship with two victories on June 23 to advance to the state championships.
The PCLL Seniors defeated Mims 29-2 and Hilliard 10-2 at the Indian Trails Softball Complex Little League fields. They will play in the state championship tournament June 28-30 in St. Cloud.
The PCLL Junior League softball all-stars also hosted the sectionals. After splitting two games with San Mateo Little League on June 23, San Mateo edged Palm Coast 8-7 on June 24 to win the Section 3 title and advance to states.
The PCLL 10U softball team battled in four games in the District 19 tournament last week. The girls beat DeLand 13-3, lost to Lake Mary 22-7 and beat DeLand again 25-7 to advance to the final at Lake Mary. But they managed to score only one run in a 16-1 loss as Lake Mary advanced to the sectional round.
