Ormond Beach Mayor Bill Partington was recognized with the Florida League of City’s Mayor John Land Years of Service Award at the commission meeting on Tuesday, May 21.

The award recognized Partington’s 20 years of service to the city. Partington was first elected to the City Commission as a Zone 4 representative in September 2003. He was elected mayor in 2016, and was reelected in 2018 and 2020.

Partington said serving on the City Commission has been “one of the greatest honors” of his life.

“This recognition is not just a testament to my years in office, but really is a testament to the community we have built together, working together here in Ormond Beach,” Partington said.

Partington is not running for reelection in the city. He is running to represent District 28 in the Florida House.
