Summer is nearly here, and the City of Palm Coast is encouraging residents to be aware and get prepared for enjoying the water this Summer during its annual Pool Safety Day event, taking place at the Palm Coast Aquatics Center this Saturday, May 25.

The event serves as a day of fun and safety where residents can enjoy the facility while learning proper safety protocol to use in and around the pool. Featured highlights will include pool games, mini learn-to-swim lessons, life jacket safety, demonstrations with the Palm Coast Fire Dept. and more.

“Pool Safety Day is an annual reminder to our residents about the importance of safety when enjoying the water this Summer,” said Brittany McDermott, Deputy Director of Parks and Recreation. “All of our staff here at our facility are trained in CPR, AED and life saving techniques, and being able to share that knowledge and help our residents learn ways to help others is a rewarding experience that we always look forward to.”

Pool Safety Day will take place from 1-4pm this Saturday, May 25. The Palm Coast Aquatics Center is located at 339 Parkview Dr, Palm Coast. Admission is $2 for adults and $1 for seniors and youth ages 17 and under.
