Ormond Beach recognizes Embry-Riddle volleyball head coach

Joslynn Gallop, who has been the head coach of volleyball at ERAU for 20 years, has achieved a milestone of 400 career victories.

Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University volleyball head coach Joslynn Gallop was recognized with a proclamation from the mayor of Ormond Beach on Friday, Nov. 1.

Gallop, who has been the head coach of volleyball at ERAU for 20 years, has achieved a milestone of 400 career victories. She is one of 36 National Collegiate Athletic Association Division II coaches to have reached this accomplishment, according to the mayor's proclamation. The Ormond Beach resident has guided the ERAU Eagles to five national tournament appearances, three trips to the NCAA II tournament, and 12 conference titles. Gallop has been named Coach of the Year six times. 

"Coach Gallop’s unwavering dedication, passion for the game, and commitment to fostering an environment of growth and success have elevated the Embry-Riddle volleyball program and inspired countless athletes to reach their full potential on and off the court," the proclamation states.
