The Florida Department of Transportation is implementing overnight, double lane closures on Interstate 95 on Nov. 13 and 14.

The double lane closures will be at mile marker 286 on I-95 northbound and near mile marker 285 on I-95 southbound near the I-95/State Road 100 interchange, a FDOT press release said. The closures are likely to begin as early as 9 p.m. each night and are expected to reopen by 5 a.m. the following morning.

The lane closures are needed to allow crews to make repairs to the roadway, the press release said. Speed limits and directional signage will be posted and motorists are asked to void distractions and pay close attention while driving through the construction zone.

FDOT crews are also working on repaving stretches of north- and southbound Highway U.S. 1 from County Road 13 to Palm Coast Parkway, according to the FDOT's website. Crews are milling and paving to extend the life of the roadway.

The roadwork is expected to continue through Nov. 16 and motorists can expect single lane closures until the work is complete, the website states.
