The Ferrito family, of Ormond Beach, was selected as Ormond Memorial Art Museum’s featured family from the museum's Nov. 1 Free Family Art Night event.
The Ferrito family are longtime city residents and members of OMAM, according to a statement from the museum. Daughters Emersyn and Harper enjoy creating the family art projects led by instructor Linda King, who was their parents' art teacher at St. Brendan Catholic School while they were growing up. The family regularly attends the Free Family Art Night event.
"The Ferritos come from a family of artists including Prosper Louis Senat (1852-1925) whose paintings are hanging in MOAS, highlighting coastal Landscapes in Capri," said grandmother Shari Ferrito to the museum.
OMAM’s Family Art Night takes place from 5:30-7 p.m. on most first Fridays of the month. All art supplies are provided, and the program is sponsored in part by the Women United Volusia Chapter.
The next program is scheduled for Dec. 6.
