Judith (Clinch) Gilruth passed away on October 29, 2024. She was pre-deceased by her loving husband George (Red) Gilruth and her son George D. (Geordie) Gilruth. She is survived by her children Carolyn Peters, Julie Ferguson, Susie Amme, David Gilruth (Carla) and her daughter in law Irene Gilruth; as well as her 10 grandchildren: Carrie Parker, Ellery Saum, Kristie Charvet, Jordan Gilruth, Katie Gilruth, Tanner Amme, Paige Neal, Molly Gilruth, Emma Gilruth, Courtney Gilruth; and 8 great grandchildren: Ashlinn Saum, George Charvet, Lachlan Saum, Amelia Charvet, Carter Amme, Campbell Neal, John Charvet and Jack Neal.

Judy was born in Glen Ridge, N.J. in 1932 and lived in Montclair and Upper Montclair until 1987, when she and Red moved to Palm Coast, Florida. Judy graduated from College High School at Montclair State in 1951. Judy was a very active member of St. James Church in Upper Montclair where she was the first female to be elected as a member of the vestry and was an enthusiaistic participant on the the altar guild. Judy was also very active at St. Thomas Church in Palm Coast where she was not only a member of the parish but also worked as the secretary until her retirement.

Judy was a much loved wife, mother, Nana and friend and will be remembered for her kind heart and unwavering love and dedication to her family. She loved music, and was up dancing any chance she could, up until the very end. Judy is the last of a great generation in the Gilruth family and she will be sorely missed by all.

“May the road rise up to meet you. May the wind be always at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face; the rains fall soft upon your fields. And until we meet again may God hold your hand in the palm of His hand”
