Palm Coast's new Wawa location will open its doors with a ribbon cutting ceremony and free T-shirts and coffee on Nov. 22.
The Wawa, located at 1 Florida Park Drive S., replaced the the three-story B. Paul Katz Professional Center, which was demolished in 2023. The national gas station chain will celebrate the opening of its new location in Palm Coast by handing out free T-shirts to the first 100 customers and free hot coffee all day long, according to a press release.
Celebrations begin at 7:45 a.m. and doors will open at 8 a.m. At 8:30 a.m., there will be the official ribbon cutting ceremony and a Hoagies for Heroes hoagie building competition between police and fire departments, the press release said.
In April, Wawa, which first opened in Folsom, Pennsylvania in 1964, celebrated its 60th anniversary. The national convenience store chain "will reinforce its commitment to Fulfilling Lives of its associates, customers, and community" at each of its new store openings, the press release said. Palm Coast's first Wawa, located at 600 State Road 100 E., at the corner of Bulldog Drive, opened in June 2020.
