Halifax Health team members, led by the nursing governance team, have partnered with the Volusia County Basket Brigade to donate over 300 Thanksgiving meals to community members in need this holiday season.

The Volusia County Basket Brigade, a long-standing community initiative, has been bringing Thanksgiving cheer to local families for decades. Founded with the vision of neighbors helping neighbors, the Basket Brigade has grown exponentially through the support of local organizations and volunteers. This year, Halifax Health team members have once again joined the effort, continuing the tradition of giving back to the community they serve every day.

“We are so pleased to not only provide the highest level of care to our community members, but also to bring some holiday cheer during this special time of year,” said Heidi Wright, chief nursing officer at Halifax Health. “Partnering with the Volusia County Basket Brigade to provide Thanksgiving meals is a true honor. We are incredibly fortunate to have people like Amy LaBosco and so many others who make this effort possible.”
