Bunnell is asking residents and businesses on city water to limit their usage to essential needs only.

A Bunnell city crew has had to respond to a lift station on North Anderson Street, a city announcement said. Unnecessary water usage, could lead to lift station failure as the system is over taxed by not only the rain fall, but water going down the drains from all businesses and houses on the City sewer system.

With the rain fall already received and anticipated from the storm, limiting the amount of water going down the drain now can help avert issues later.

The city also asks that resident not allow children to play in water from overflowing manholes and to avoid contact with the water from the manholes.
