Ormond man, Daytona woman killed in crash on I-10

The pair were headed eastbound near mile marker 322 at the time of the crash.

A 65-year-old Ormond Beach man and a 43-year-old Daytona Beach woman died in a crash on Tuesday, Oct. 22, in Baker County, Florida Highway Patrol reports.

The Ormond man, whose identity was not released by FHP, was driving eastbound in a van on Interstate 10 near mile marker 322 at 1:02 a.m. when he veered off the roadway, leading him to over-correct, which caused his van to rotate in a counterclockwise direction. The van left the roadway on the right shoulder, overturned and collided with a tree. 

The man and woman were pronounced dead on the scene.
