On Oct. 24, the Rotary Club of Flagler County hosted a World Polio Day Watch Party at Pine Lakes Country Club.

For more than 30 years, Rotary, the World Health Organization and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation have spearheaded efforts to completely eradicate polio by vaccinating children around the world.

This year, there have been very few cases, but more money is needed for monitoring water sources and vaccinating children in remote areas. Rotary Club of Flagler County raised $1,500 for this purpose.
