Flagler Humane Society's Pets of the Week for Sept. 9

Meet Chloe, Bart, Missee and Shiba, this week’s featured adoptable pets from the Flagler Humane Society.

Meet Chloe, Bart, Missee and Shiba, this week’s featured adoptable pets from the Flagler Humane Society.

Chloe is a 9-month-old female Labrador mix who loves to cuddle. She has a playful and goofy personality and is always ready to offer a friendly tail wag. She gets along well with other dogs, but tends to resource guard her food because of a history of past neglect, but it is could be easily managed by feeding her separately and giving her positive reinforcement.

Chloe was surrendered in June because her previous owner could not afford to take care of her.

Bart, 8, is a sweet and friendly bulldog mix. He is mellow, sociable companion who gets along with both humans and other dogs. His house-trained manners and excellent leash skills make him a great addition to any household. Bart was surrendered on July 31 because his previous owners were moving.

Missee, 6, is a female terrier mix who was found as a stray on July 17. Missee epitomizes sweetness and friendliness and has a knack for making new friends. She has a mellow demeanor that makes her an ideal companion to anyone seeking a peaceful friend.

Shiba, 3, is a playful companion full of charm and charisma. She has a playful nature that ensures there’s never a dull moment. Shiba’s vivacious personality will brighten any home. She was surrendered in June for playing too rough with a young child so it is suggested she go to a household without small children.

The Flagler Humane Society is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 1 Shelter Drive in Palm Coast. Adoption fees vary based on the animal, and the shelter has both dogs and cats up for adoption.
