A pickup truck on State Road 100 was engulfed in flames on Sept. 10 after a fire started in its engine.

The truck was towing a boat east on S.R. 100 when the cab began filling with smoke, according to an email from Palm Coast Fire Department Lt. Patrick Juliano. The driver pulled off the road next to the Flagler Chrysler Dodge Jeep dealership.

The fire started in the engine compartment but quickly spread through the rest of the truck. PCFD Engine 29 and Flagler County Fire Rescue Engine 62 were able to put out the flames before it spread to the boat, Juliano wrote.  FCFR Rescue 92 also responded to the scene.

No one was injured in the fire.
