Bethune-Cookman University students meet with Disney recruiters

Disney on the Yard recently took over the Bethune-Cookman University campus to highlight career opportunities available to students. 

On Friday, Sept. 6, recruiters met with students in the morning to talk about internships and the Disney college program, and in the afternoon, Disney hosted a block party ahead of the university’s kick off to the 2024 Wildcat home football season. During the Disney on the Yard takeover, students enjoyed dinner from a variety of local food trucks and danced to music played by a local DJ. Drum Major Mickey — who has been trained by various HBCU drum majors, including B-CU’s — also joined the Marching Wildcats for a special performance. 

The Disney on the Yard initiative was created in 2020 to deepen engagement with HBCUs through mentorship, networking and exclusive programming.
