According to the post, the PCFD responded to Seminole Woods at 3:39 p.m. after a caller reported that multiple chunks of ice fell from the sky and scattered across the roadway with one striking a neighbor’s home.

Crews discovered a hole in the metal roof and remnants of ice that had penetrated into the living quarters. Firefighters notified the Federal Aviation Administration and the Palm Coast Building Department.

After inspection, the building department deemed the home safe for occupancy and the fire department placed a blue tarp over the damaged roof to protect the property. No injuries were reported.
