Ronald Edward Stephens (Ron), born on January 7th, 1946, went to be with Jesus on December 5th, 2024 in Palm Coast, Florida. The youngest of 5 children, Ron was born in Arcadia, Florida to Opal Keen and Joseph Stephens. Preceded in death by his parents, brothers Gordon and Joel, sister Betty, and son Scott, he leaves behind his wife Linda, daughter Melinda, son-in-law Jon, grandsons Colin, Cole, and Cameron, sister Barbara, in-laws, and many nieces and nephews.
Ron served in the Air Force in Vietnam before becoming a Florida Highway Patrolman. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources and a Master’s degree in Business Administration, both while working full time. Ron directed Human Resources in the government contract defense industry and private manufacturing; his expertise being startup operations. Even after retiring, Ron found a new joy in starting and running a family business along with his daughter and son-in-law.
Ron was a good man. He loved his Lord, his country, and his family. He truly enjoyed helping others, making people laugh, and was recognized as being a man of his word. He loved golfing, cruising, going to theme parks and resorts; but most of all, he enjoyed any time spent with his wife and family. Ron definitely lived life to its fullest.
