Insomnia Cookies has opened its first store in Daytona Beach.
The new bakery — which serves cookies through the early morning hours — is located at 1173 W. International Speedway Blvd., Unit 6A, near Daytona State College, and marks the brand's 13th store in Florida and 319th location nationwide, according to a press release.
The bakery will hold a grand opening event on Saturday, Feb. 15, from noon to 3 a.m. New customers who visit the new store and sign up for its Insomnia Rewards will receive a free classic cookie, no purchase required. Insomnia Cookies offers flavors like chocolate chunk, snickerdoodle and confetti deluxe, as well as ice cream, brookies, brownie and blondies. The bakery also offers vegan options.
Insomnia Cookies is headquartered in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and was founded in a University of Pennsylvania dorm room by then-student Seth Berkowitz.
The Daytona Beach store is open from 11 a.m. to 1 a.m. on Monday through Wednesday, 11 a.m. to 3 a.m. on Thursday and Friday, noon to 3 a.m. on Saturdays and noon to 1 a.m. on Sundays.
