The Bike Men of Flagler County held a grand opening on Thursday, Feb. 13, for their new shop at the Atlantis Business Plaza, 2323 N. State St. (U.S. 1), Unit 100, in Bunnell.

The Bike Men of Flagler County repairs and donates bicycles to people in need of transportation through more than 30 partner organizations.

It previously shared space in the same plaza with Our Father's Table, a meal program for people in need. Both nonprofits needed more space, said Joe Golan, who founded The Bike Men of Flagler County about 11 years ago.

The Bike Men now has an air-conditioned work shop with three work areas and two-thirds more space than their old shop. They can also expand to an outside area with electric and compressed air on pull-down hoses, Golan said.

According to the Bike Men of Flagler County website, the group's landlord donated the space. The Bike Men is responsible for utilities and other expenses.

For more information or to make a cash, bike or parts donation to the Bike Men of Flagler County, visit www.thebikemenofflaglercounty.com, email [email protected] or call or text 386-283-0111. Shop hours are normally Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, 8 a.m. to noon. Please call to verify before bringing a bicycle.
