The Ormond Beach Performing Arts Center Experience will light up with the sounds of vintage pop hits with two fan favorites gracing the stage this February and March.
On Feb. 17, sixties pop-rock icons Herman’s Hermits starring Peter Noone will stop at the PAC for an evening billed as “One Night Only — All the Hits.”
“We’ve featured Peter at the Peabody a number of times as part of our ‘Stars of the Sixties’ concert series,” concert producer Joseph Mirrione said in a press release, “but folks were always asking for an evening of nothing but Peter and his seemingly-endless arsenal of hits.”
Noone is best known for songs including “There’s a Kind of Hush,” “I’m Into Something Good,” “Listen People,” “I’m Henry the VIII, I Am” and several more during the British Invasion. Since then, Noone enjoyed a four-year stint as the host of VH1’s My Generation. He performs over 200 concerts a year, in addition to hosting “Something Good” on Sirius XM 60s on 6, the press release states..
On March 2, PBS-TV star Chris Ruggiero will perform favorites like “Unchained Melody” and “Stand by Me.” His performances, combined with his passion for the golden age of jukebox rock, have earned him recognition from legends like Bill Medley of The Righteous Brothers and Darlene Love, with whom he recently recorded a duet. Ruggiero will take the stage with a six-piece live band.
Herman’s Hermits starring Peter Noone: "One Night Only — All the Hits" takes place Monday, Feb. 17 at 7:00 PM and Chris Ruggiero: "Songs You Know and Love. A Voice You’ll Never Forget" will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, March 2. The Ormond Beach Performing Arts Center is located at 399 N. U.S. 1. Lobby doors open one hour prior to showtime and theater doors open 30 minutes prior. Tickets range from $47 and $75 for Peter Noone and from $27 to $45 for Chris Ruggiero and are available at www.ormondpac.org or by calling (386) 676-3375.
