Kay Barbara Zimmerman, 85, of Flagler Beach, Florida, traded her earthly residence for a heavenly one on December 10, 2024. Born on March 5, 1939, in Saginaw, Michigan, to Elsie R.

Schultz and Frederick C. Schultz, Kay entered the world with a twinkle in her eye and a mischievous glint in her soul - a spirit she carried with her throughout her remarkable life.

Kay's journey was a delightful blend of adventure, love, and a whole lot of laughter. After graduating from Arthur Hill High School in 1957, she finally caught the eye of her future husband, Harold, at the local bowling alley. It was love at first sight (for Harold, at least

- Kay played it cool). They married in 1966, embarking on a lifetime of shared joy and unforgettable memories.

Kay's career took her to Jacobson's, where she spent over 34 years charming customers and colleagues alike. But her true calling was her family. Weekends were filled with cheering on her kids at basketball games, teaching them the finer points of poker (with dried beans as stakes, of course!), and embarking on epic family road trips across America, creating a lifetime of cherished memo - ries. Later in life, Kay enjoyed spending every free moment with her beloved grandchildren, building giant Lego towers with them, and reading to them.

Kay was a force of nature - known for being an avid reader, camper, gardener, card player, was skilled in judo, and even tried parachuting out of planes with her big brother a few times. She was also a fierce Euchre competitor in the Saginaw, Michigan/ Sault Ste. Marie Friendship Games. But perhaps Kay's most endur - ing legacy was her infectious humor and her unwavering generosity. Her homemade Christmas gifts, particularly her handmade ornaments, rock candy and church window cookies, were the stuff of locallegend.

In 1998, Kay and Harold traded the Michigan winters for the Florida sunshine where they handed in their snow shovels for the ocean breeze and a few hurricanes.

Kay leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and a whole lot of cherished memories. She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Harold Zimmerman Jr.; her daughter, Julie K. Davis; son-in-law, Matt Davis, five grand-sons: Michael, Alex, Chuck, Jedidiah, Wyatt; a granddaughter, Scout; and one great-grandchild, Mason. She was preceded in death by her son, Eric Lee Zimmerman.

A memorial service celebrating Kay's life will be held at Shepherd of the Coast Church in Palm Coast, FL on January 4, 2024 at 1:00 p.m.

Memorial gifts can be made to Shepherd of the Coast Lutheran Church.

The family of Mrs. Zimmerman have entrusted her arrangements to Clymer Funeral Home & Cremations.
