The Flagler County Master Gardener Volunteers have a demonstration plot at the Southern Recreation Center community garden to guide residents on which plants are best to grow this season.
The plot has a selection of cool-season plants that includes lettuce, collard greens, strawberries and carrots. Additionally, the plot is filled with plants that attract beneficial insects that help control harmful pests.

The Flagler County Master Gardener Volunteers also teach classes at the Palm Coast Community Center. This month, they will be covering easy to grow Indoor and outdoor plants. Registration is required. Call 386-986-2323 to reserve a spot.
The Master Gardener Volunteers will also be teaching a Backyard Roses class at the UF/IFAS Extension Flagler County Office. Each participant who registers will have the opportunity to receive a Nelson’s rose. These roses are celebrated for their stunning beauty, rich fragrance, and unique character.
