Intermittent lane closures on A1A to begin Jan. 6 in Flagler Beach

The lane closures are due to FDOT performing asphalt work near the intersection of 19th Street South.

The Florida Department of Transportation has announced intermittent lane closures with detours on State Road A1A  for asphalt work near the intersection of 19th Street South for the week of Jan. 6-10 in Flagler Beach.

The work will be completed from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily, according to Flagler County notice.

The intermittent lane closures will affect traffic in both directions. Detours are dependent on the direction of travel and will be as follows:

  • Southbound lane closures – motorists will be detoured at South 19th Street to South Central Avenue, returning to State Road A1A at 20th Street South.
  • Northbound lane closures – motorists will be detoured at South 20th Street to South Central Avenue, returning to State Road A1A at South 19th Street.
