For two days, Ocean Art Gallery in Ormond Beach will host a free exhibition showcasing candid photos of John Lennon.

The photos were taken by May Pang, who was Lennon's personal assistant and lover during his "Lost Weekend" era, according to a press release. The exhibition, titled "The Lost Weekend: The Photography of May Pang" coincides with the release of the documentary of Lennon and Pang's story, "The Lost Weekend: A Love Story." The photography exhibition, featuring 35 photographs taken during an 18-month period in 1973-1975, will be on display on Tuesday and Wednesday, Jan. 21 and 22.

"Ocean Art Gallery was selected by May Pang and her producer Scott Segalbaum because of its public awareness for art excellence with Florida and national artists, including Roy Tabora, Steve Barton, Chris DeRubeis, and others, during its almost 13 years in Flagler Beach and Ormond Beach," a press release by the gallery stated.

Pang will be at the gallery on both days from 12-8 p.m. to meet patrons, sign purchased prints and tell the stories behind the photographs, several of which were taken at Disney World. One is a photograph of Lennon signing the contract to dissolve the Beatles, which took place at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort. The exhibition will also include one of the last known photographs of Lennon and Paul McCartney together.

Both photographs have never been available to the public until this exhibition, according to the press release.

"Gallery owners Frank and Bibi Gromling look forward to welcoming everyone to this exciting historical event featuring John Lennon and others from rock history," the press release states.
