Barbara Smith Pringle, 82, passed away Thursday evening at Stuart F. Meyer Hospice House in Palm Coast November 7, 2024, after an extended illness.
Barbara was born in Jacksonville and came to live in the Bunnell area in 1992 coming from Satsuma. She and her family had lived in Crescent City for many years. She attended and graduated from Crescent City High School in 1959. She and her husband, Chalker, were owners/operators of PrinDor Foods. In her spare-time she enjoyed crafts and making wreaths. She also enjoyed antique shopping. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Crescent City.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Chalker Pringle, Jr. in 2003; their son, James W. “Jay” Pringle in 2020 and her brothers, Dickie Smith, Terry Smith, and sister, Betty Faye Smith.
She is survived by her sons, Chalker Pringle of Bunnell and Justin (Heather) Pringle of Kyle, Texas; sister-in-law, Linda Smith of Welaka; grandchildren, Jaymes and Ryan Pringle; numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family.
Graveside services will be at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, January 18, 2025, in Eden Cemetery in Crescent City, Florida with Brother Ricky Bybee officiating.
Arrangements are under the direction of Johnson-Overturf Funeral Home.
