Dear Editor:
In reference to your article on colors on the house, if I live next-door and I painted my house a deep, dark purple, you might get upset, specially, if you were trying to sell it. If I went one step further and I painted my house to look like the pride flag you might get upset. I know this seems a little over the top, but there’s always that 1% out there that’ll do it.
We have a code for signs on vehicles, and people don’t comply with that. If I owned a strip club and brought my van home with all the pictures all over the outside, you might not like that. But once you open that can of worms you can’t close it. I had a meeting with the mayor and I told him if he wanted to settle those issues let the people vote on it. That way it doesn’t fall on his back. It’s on the people's back.
