A total of 33 artists with the Florida Women's Arts Association created works inspired by French artist Marc Chagall, and the tribute exhibit will open at the Ormond Beach Performing Arts Center on Sunday, March 23.
The exhibit coincides with the "Conversations with Chagall" piano concert featuring Seth Weinstein and Vivian Jacobson, which starts at 2 p.m. at the PAC.
An opening reception for the art exhibit will begin at noon.
"Embrace the ethereal essence of Chagall's art," a FLWAA statement to the Observer reads. "Delve into his vibrant color palettes and explore his timeless themes of love, nature, the circus, flowers, angels, Parisian life, and spirituality. While we celebrate Chagall's legacy, we invite you to our exhibition of original works that capture the dreamlike quality and symbolic imagery that defines his style."
The exhibit will be on display at the PAC gallery through April 22. The gallery is open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday to Friday. Enter through the Box Office entrance.
