National college basketball tournament returns to Daytona Beach's Ocean Center

The College Basketball Invitational Tournament will feature teams from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, Cleveland State University, Florida Gulf Coast University and more.

The 2025 College Basketball Invitational Tournament returns to the Ocean Center in Daytona Beach on March 23-26, bringing high-stakes postseason college basketball action to the heart of Florida's east coast. This year's 11-team field features competitive programs from across the country, all battling for the championship in a single-elimination format, culminating in the title game on March 26.

The CBI has a track record of showcasing rising programs and future professional talent, with past tournaments featuring players who have gone on to successful professional careers. The tournament offers fans a unique opportunity to experience elite college basketball up close with fast-paced action, high-energy competition, and a championship atmosphere.

Several games, including the semifinals and championship game, will be nationally televised on ESPNU and ESPN2, giving fans nationwide a front-row seat to the action. This year's tournament field includes Army West Point, Cleveland State, Elon, Florida Gulf Coast, Illinois State, Incarnate Word, Jacksonville, Manhattan, Northern Arizona, Presbyterian, and Queens University of Charlotte.

Tournament Schedule:

· First Round: March 23

· Quarterfinals: March 24

· Semifinals: March 25 (ESPNU)

· Championship: March 26 (ESPN2)

This marks the fourth consecutive year that the Ocean Center has hosted the CBI, reinforcing Volusia County's reputation as a premier destination for championship-level sporting events.
