Daytona State College Music presents: An Instrumental Extravaganza

When: 7 p.m.

Where: News-Journal Center, 221 N. Beach St., Daytona Beach

Details: The Daytona State College Band will take audiences on a journey through a repertoire of classical and contemporary pieces. Tickets cost $10 for adults; $5 for children under 12 and Volusia and Flagler County students. The event is free to DSC students, faculty and staff with a college ID. Personalized Canvas Bags: Flower Pounding Art

When: 9-11 a.m.

Where: Gamble Rogers Memorial State Recreational Area, 3100 S. Oceanshore Blvd., Flagler Beach

Details: Artist Trish Vevera will lead this class where participants will personalize a canvas tote bag while learning the technique of flower pounding, or Tatakizome. Registration required. Spots limited to 10 people. Class costs $5 per person, plus park entry fee. Call 386-517-2086.

Yoga outdoors

Garden Talks: Bees!

When: 11-12:30 p.m.

Where: Ormond Memorial Art Museum and Gardens, 78 E. Granada Blvd., Ormond Beach

Details: Apiarist Diane Spoden will present a lecture in the museum on the world of bees, which will include a live hive display. The Brothers Doobie

68th annual Flagler County Cracker Day

When: 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Where: Flagler County Fairgrounds, 150 Sawgrass Road, Bunnell

Details: Attend Flagler County Cattlemen's annual Cracker Day with your friends and family. Rough Rider Games start at 8 a.m. Signups to participate in the rodeo will take place from 9-11 a.m. Rodeo begins at noon. Admission costs $20 per person and includes a barbecue lunch, served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Cash only.

Mayor's Health and Fitness Challenge kick-off and weigh-in

When: 9 a.m. to noon

Where: South Ormond Neighborhood Center, 176 Division Ave., Ormond Beach

Details: The Mayor's Health & Fitness Challenge is back for 2025. Join this four-week challenge designed for all fitness levels with group fitness and wellness perks. There will not be a make-up weigh-in this year. Registration costs $25 for adults; $10 for children 17 and under.

Flagler Home and Lifestyle Show

When: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, March 29 and 30

Where: Flagler Palm Coast High School, 5500 E. Highway 100, Palm Coast

Sound Bath

When: 11 a.m. to noon

Where: Ormond Memorial Art Museum and Gardens, 78 E. Granada Blvd., Ormond Beach

Details: Practitioner Kyrsten Sinclair takes participants on a sound bath journey. Sinclair uses a combination of sounds, including 432Hz crystal quartz bowls, drums, animal calls, and singing. The session concludes with a complimentary hot tea. Event costs $35 for museum members, and $45 for non-members. Visit ormondartmuseum.org.

Low-cost pet shot clinic

When: 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Where: Astro Skate Ormond, 250 N. Yonge St., Ormond Beach

Details: Get your pet vaccinated at a lower cost. Rabies shots will cost $5 for 1-year vaccinations. Other shots offered include dog distemper/parvo combo, dog flu, cat distemper combo, feline leukemia and more. Heartworm prevention and flea control products will be available for purchase. 2025 WIN Phenomenal Women's History Month Event

When: 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Where: African American Cultural Society, 4422 U.S. 1, Palm Coast

Details: The NAACP Flagler Branch in partnership with the African American Cultural Society is hosting a Women's History Month event, themed "She's Trending," and highlighting women who are at the forefront of various fields. 

'Flower Power' flower show and tea

When: 1-3:30 p.m.

Where: The Casements, 25 Riverside Drive, Ormond Beach

Details: Join the Ormond Beach Garden Club for its annual flower show and enjoy a flower arrangement demonstration, information and talk on bromeliads by Master Gardener Jack Dunlop, raffles, piano music by Glenn Lowry, and peruse flower arrangements and plants for sale. Admission costs $5. Snacks provided.

Blues Brothers

When: 7 p.m.

Where: Ormond Beach Performing Arts Center, 399 N. U.S. 1, Ormond Beach

Arts and Crafts Walk

When: 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Where: Beach Front Grille, 2444 S. Ocean Shore Blvd. Flagler Beach

Details: See over 20 vendors and enjoy live music at this free monthly event. 

Watercolor workshop

When: 1-4 p.m.

Where: Ocean Art Gallery, 197 E. Granada Blvd., Ormond Beach

Details: Paint along with watercolor artist Bibi Gromling. All supplies are included in the $75 class fee. No drawing is required. Call 386-317-9400.

Maternal and child health fair

When: 3-7 p.m.

Where: Hidden Trails Community Center, 6108 Mahogany Boulevard, Bunnell

Details: The Florida Department of Health-Flagler and Flagler County are hosting this fair to provide resources, as well as free developmental, hearing and visual screenings. The Flagler County Sheriff’s Office will be giving away and fitting children with free bicycle helmets. The first 50 families to register will receive a $20 grocery voucher at the event.

Fifth grade science fair and expo

When: 4:30-7 p.m.

Where: Buddy Taylor Middle School, 4500 Belle Terre Parkway, Palm Coast; and Wadsworth Elementary School, 4550 Belle Terre Parkway, Palm Coast

Details: Flagler County Education Foundation and Flagler Schools will present the fourth annual fifth grade science fair and expo, to take place in the cafeterias at Wadsworth Elementary and Buddy Taylor Middle School. Science fair will run from 4:30-5:30 p.m,; expo will run from 5:30-7 p.m. Activities include mineral mining, a game show, marine conservation art and land drones with Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.

Film screening

When: 6-8 p.m.

Where: Southeast Museum of Photography, 1200 W. International Speedway Blvd., Daytona Beach

Details: This screening will be of "Finding Vivian Maier," a documentary that examines the art and life of Vivian Maier, a nanny whose secret collection of more than 100,000 photographs were discovered and eventually came to be considered one of the most definitive photographic works of the 20th century. Screening is free and open to the public.

2025 MedNexus Innovation Challenge

Details: The University of North Florida, the City of Palm Coast and Flagler County Schools are hosting the 2025 AdventHealth Innovation Challenge, a team-based competition showcasing regional high school students pitching their solutions to Florida’s evolving healthcare needs. The fourth annual UNF MedNexus Innovation Challenge is themed "Becoming a Health Influencer."

17th annual Turtle Fest

When: 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Where: Veterans Park, 101 N. Ocean Shore Blvd. Flagler Beach

Details: This is the primary fundraiser for the Volusia & Flagler Turtles Patrols. Activities include face painting, turtle races and live music. There will also be vendors and food and beverages for sale. If possible, there will be a turtle release on the beach in the mid-afternoon. Free event.

12th annual spring festival and plant sale

When: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Where: Fitzgerald Performing Arts Center, 5500 East Highway 100, Palm Coast

Details: The Garden Club at Palm Coast's spring festival will feature a plant sale, arts and craft vendors, specialty plant growers, educational exhibits, children's activities, food trucks, live music and more. Free event. 

Duck Fest

When: 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Where: Tomoka Outpost, 2099 N. Beach St., Ormond Beach

Details: Take part in the 12th annual Duck Fest, benefitting the Early Learning Coalition of Flagler and Volusia. Tickets cost $5. In addition to a duck race, there will be a relay race on duck floats, a kids zone, duck toss competition, a dunk tank and more. Visit https://elcfv.org/duckfest.

Game Day 'Fun Raiser'

Details: The Ormond Beach Lions Club is having Game Day, a "fun raiser." Come alone or with a group. Play their games or bring your favorite. There will be sandwiches, snacks, beverages and desserts. Costs $15 per person. There will also be door prizes, a 50/50 raffle and a silent auction.

Ormond Art Walk
