A group of bowlers gathers every Monday night at Coquina Lanes for a league of sport, fun and to give back.
At the league holiday party, Monday, Dec. 20, Terry Clay presented a check for the Exceptional Student Education of Flagler Schools to Director Tracy Umpenhour.
The donation came from a portion of dues collected from the league.
'It is a cooperative effort between the bowling alley and the league,' said Clay, who bowls in the league and also works in ESE at Buddy Taylor Middle School.
In its first year, the league has 30 bowlers, but it has a goal of filling the lanes with 96.
'We want to donate the most amount of money we can,' said Greg Skyta, manager at Coquina Lanes.
